Italy WWII Qualification Badge for Air Transport Pilots of the Royal Italian Air Force 1942-1943 by Bomisa given to transport pilots who had reached a certain level of experience. The badge is an oval wreath with the Italian Royal crown at the top, the knot of Savoy at the bottom, and a seagull at the center.
The badge was instituted, by the Fascist Regime of Benito Mussolini, in 1942 and was issued only for 1
year (Italy capitulated in 1943). This is an extremely rare badge, a late-war example in fine condition.
