Early 1st Pattern Luftwaffe Mitgliednadel Early Luftwaffe members would wear this piece in civilian clothing. It is constructed out of a die-struck nickel-silver base that has been silver-washed. The obverse depicts the early droop-tail Luftwaffe eagle, with outstretched wings clutching a mobile swastika in one of its talons. The full-back reverse features a soldered-on round plate knurled stickpin. Beautiful detailed work!
