This example is the third-class medal awarded for twelve years of loyal service. Gilt washed, die struck, magnetic, third-class award for twelve years’ service. The award features an embossed Wehrmacht style eagle with down-swept wings encompassed by Gothic script, “Treue Dienste in der Wehrmacht” (Loyal Service in the Armed Forces), on a smooth background field to the obverse. The reverse has a large embossed numeral, “12” to the center encompassed by an embossed circular oak-leaf wreath also on a smooth background field. The ribbon suspension loop and ring are both intact. Comes complete with original ribbon and eagle cypher, glassine packet, and paper towellette, remains in outstanding, near mint condition.
