Luftwaffe Assmann Observer Badge - The Typical Nickle Silver 2nd Pattern. (Beobachterabzeichen). Constructed of Nickle Silver, the obverse consisted of an oval laurel and oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, overlaid by a swooping Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, with dual visible rivets which were flattened for ensuring the obverse eagle stays in place, maker marked with the logo of F.W. Assmann & Söhne, Lüdenscheid, some loss of silver finish evident, in overall near extremely fine condition.
